Shopify Importer: AliExpress Product Cloner AI is a Chrome extension that helps ecommerce sellers scan AliExpress product pages, preview product media, export organized asset files, generate product copy, and create Shopify-compatible CSV files.

Data The Extension Handles

The extension may read product page content from the AliExpress tab where the user activates it, including:

• Product title
• Product price
• Product variant text
• Product image and video URLs
• Image alt text and visible product metadata

The extension may store the following data locally in Chrome storage:

• User-selected AI provider
• User-provided OpenAI or DeepSeek API key
• Gumroad license key
• Optional buyer email
• Local free-export usage counter

How Data Is Used

Product page data is used only to provide the extension's user-facing features:

• Showing a product asset preview
• Downloading selected media
• Creating ZIP exports
• Creating Shopify-compatible CSV files
• Generating product descriptions when the user requests AI copy

License keys are used only to verify Pro access through Gumroad.

API keys are used only when the user chooses to call their selected AI provider.

Data Sharing

The extension does not sell user data.

The extension does not run on all websites. It is limited to AliExpress product pages by host permission.

The extension may send data only when needed for user-requested features:

• Gumroad license key to Gumroad for license verification
• Product title, specification, and variant context to OpenAI or DeepSeek only if the user enters an API key and disables mock mode
• Selected media URLs to Chrome downloads or browser fetch logic to create user-requested exports

Local Storage

API keys, license keys, and free usage counters are stored in chrome.storage.local on the user's own browser. Users can clear saved API and license keys from the extension popup.

Remote Code

The extension does not load remote executable JavaScript in extension pages. JSZip is bundled locally inside the extension package.

Permissions

The extension requests the minimum permissions needed for its product-page export workflow:

• activeTab: access the current tab when the user activates the extension.
• scripting: inject or re-run the product scanner on the active AliExpress tab.
• downloads: save selected product images, videos, ZIP files, and CSV files.
• storage: save local settings, keys, license state, and free export usage.

Host access is limited to *://*.aliexpress.com/*.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Chrome APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
